Elizabeth Maurer Lab
Dr. Elizabeth Maurer is Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia. She is also an Associate Scientist with Canadian Blood Services.
Dr. Maurer's lab worked with the Technology Development Platform during the development and early prototypes for ThromboLUXTM, a platelet quality monitoring system.
The ThromboLUXTM technology has now resulted in a spin off company LightIntegra Technology. The company was incorporated in November 2008 and successfully closed its first round of financing in July 2009 and is currently working to develop the first commercial version of the ThromboLUXTM instrument with the intention to market the device by the end of 2010.
